Alright my son will wake me up at 4:30 in the morning, smiles with his Chinese eye smile, and then say, "Dad". Well I sometimes am too tired to wake up with him. He will then make his way out to the TV turn it on, (and of coarse the music video channel is on) and he will start dancing. He will even look at you nod his head in all coolness, look away, and then continue dancing.

These are his all time favorite music videos. He could be crying his hardest, but if any of these videos come on, he calms down, walks to the TV, and nods his head with approval.

My wife said that Tosh's new words are, Poco,Poco, Poco. That means, "just a little bit." I guess Betty asks him if he wants to go walk, and Tosh will say, "Poco, Poco, Poco!" LOL

Back Again

So I miss my family. I am back in Utah working. Betty's interview for a VISA is June 11th. She will probably get denied. I am going to file a hard ship waiver I-601 to petition the denial and then try to expedite the normal 6 month processing time due to her pregnancy and complications she could experience like her 1sr pregnancy gave her. Any ways here are some more pictures of Guatemala, Quetzaltenango, and our family.

The Toshman and his 1st B day

OK so at first I thought Guatemala was dangerous. It really isn’t, but I have only been robbed by the police for some made up law that I supposedly broke. The police asked for money so I gave it to them and they shook my hand. The locals are my friends and I have been doing some traveling. Here are some pictures.

I live in Quetzaltenango and it is a real educated place. A lot of our bad news comes from poor places in Guatemala City, just like what we have in Washington DC, Chicago, Oakland, and LA. Yet not everyone lives in the bad areas.

Will some one come visit me?

Any ways hello Molly, Glen, Chris, Jenna, Adam, Kim, Jenny, Jake, Mom, Dad, and all of my sobrinos.

Here are some more pictures. In 2 of them if you look close, the same volcano is exploding. Also the water Betty is in is from the same volcano and the river is like a warm bath surrounded by tropical plants.

Almost 1 More Month to Go

I have bought my plane ticket back to Guatemala. I will leave from SLC to LAX the morning after Thanksgiving. I will then Fly out 13 hours later from LAX to Guatemala City. I think when I am in LA I will rent a car and go to the beach and do something fun while I am waiting. I know that Venice Beach is pretty Close. Or may be I will go to Hollywood and pretend to be a paparazzi and get Paris Hilton's autograph.

Anyways once I get back to Guatemala it will be interesting. I need to find an apartment to rent again, I will see my son walking and with teeth, and then I will get to see my wife.

All I know is that my life is moving really slow. I can't live in the US with my family for like 6 months to a year, paper work at the National Visa Center takes for ever, and I can only take a few online classes and not go to school full time. Yet I hope that my family makes it so we can get back to the states and eventually get a place to call our own.

I am pretty confident that when I graduate with my Bachelors in Spanish and get licenced I will get a job very easily. Speaking and understanding Spanish, knowing the immigration process, living in a Spanish speaking 3rd world country, and pretty much knowing the culture will give me a head start and will differentiate me from most other interviewees. Most people in college learn their Spanish from books, which is good; however, I think being taught the majority of Spanish from living the culture will help me connect to ESL students, and other students better.

So I am saving my money, finishing all of the Visa paperwork, purchasing my text books, and bring back what ever is needed from the states.

I like this song, its main message is that everything is going to be alright.

So I am back in Utah. I bought a car for cheap, and I am working full time. I really miss my family, yet I hope I am doing something good. I have homework, and need to fill out some immigration papers when I get home. What a life . . .

Going Home

I have already bought my ticket back home to Utah, and I need to work on my wife´s immigration case. I am tyring to get her legal residency so I can finish a Bachelors Degree in Spanish.

I am very sad to leave my family; however, I know that one day we will a be back n the USA forgetting about Guatemala, eating Panda, and shopping at ROSS.

We all think of you all and talk about you all daily. Tosh officially says, "Dada". Any ways we´ll all talk soon!
